We, the trustees, have enjoyed seeing the old Academy building being used as a community center.

Rental events have included: Gospel concerts, birthday parties, anniversary parties, retirement parties, bridal showers, weddings, wedding receptions, baby showers, and family gatherings.

First floor

Main Room  Capacity: 184 without tables and chairs / 86 with tables and chairs

Game Room  Capacity: 80 without tables and chairs / 15 with tables and chairs

Activity Room  Capacity: 59 without tables and chairs / 27 with tables and chairs

Per Fire Marshal: Crock pots, Warming trays and Stove top (water only)

Also Available

  • Small stereo system that is cd, ipod and Mp3 friendly.
  • Handicapped access is at the back of the building and includes two handicapped parking spaces.
  •  Parking for the community center is posted. We request that any overflow parking be done behind the bandstand in the town parking lot as this would  leave spaces available for the American Legion should they also have an event.
  • We have no elevator at this time but are searching for grants to have one installed in the future.
